Fantastic Sams Hair Care Salon Opens in Granbury; Affordable Prices with No Appointment

Multi-unit owners Bobby and Kaye Barham open their third salon in Granbury

GRANDBURY, Texas- Fantastic Sams Salon, a rapidly growing 1,200-plus unit full-service hair care franchise, continues to enter new markets by bringing high quality services, professionally trained stylists and the newest industry trends all at an affordable price. Entering into a new year with a recession resistant model, Fantastic Sams is being led by multi-unit franchisees Bobby and Kaye Barham, who opened their third salon in Granbury after finding tremendous success in the Dallas-Fort Worth markets in Burleson and Mansfield.

Bobby and Kaye Barham have experienced unparalleled growth after opening the first salon in 2008, but what they quickly recognized was the high demand for a value-based salon, and Fantastic Sams is just that. Fantastic Sams is a full-service salon that specializes in offering an array of services for the family and prides itself on the ability to offer highly skilled stylists that have mastered color, cuts and waxing.

“In this marketplace, we know it is now more important than ever to find ways to offer our guests the best quality services, ranging from the highly-trained stylists to the total experience of the salon,” Bobby Barham shared.

The salon in Granbury is located at 3902 East US Hwy 377, inside the H-E-B shopping center. One thing that the Barhams noticed about the new development was the unmatched traffic flow and the potential for growth. This is the smallest of the locations in terms of square feet; however it provides the opportunity for dual traffic and makes family services more accessible. The Barhams have proven to be exceptional owners, with their Burleson and Mansfield salons which are ranked among the top 100 Fantastic Sams in the country. Also, they rank third in the region for the highest percentage of color sales. What makes their operation unique is that they emphasize education and training to their stylists to become TIGI Master Colorists, a custom program offered to Fantastic Sams employees.

“We are just so excited to be opening a new salon in Granbury and really feel like our stylists can provide a one-of-a-kind experience to every guest,” said Bobby Barham. “With this salon, we were able to create a trendier atmosphere with 10 chairs and a color station visible to guests as we plan for the growth of the business.”

Fantastic Sams Hair Salons offer a full range of hair salon services catering to men, women and children, including multicultural guests of all ages. Customers at any Fantastic Sams can expect full service treatment from a professional team of stylists who are up-to-date on the latest trends and fashions. Services include haircuts and styles, straightening, coloring, highlights and texturing, as well as beard and mustache grooming, facial waxing and rejuvenating hair treatments. Fantastic Sams' menu of services is also complemented by an exclusive line of professional, salon-quality hair care products.

Pink balloons lined the ceiling where paper lanterns of the same color were also strewn. This all matched the pink aprons that were worn by two stylists and the like-colored T-shirt donned by Kevin McCrory, the owner of Forest Park's Fantastic Sams hair salon, 7235 Madison St.

Last week, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fantastic Sams offered $10, discounted haircuts. Half the proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation's Cause for the Cure, which is billed as a nationwide fundraiser aimed at raising breast cancer awareness and supporting research for a cure.

"Everyone has been touched by cancer," said McCrory, a former CPA who bought the Forest Park location of the Fantastic Sams chain in March 2010.

For one stylist, Laura Rayo, the promotion hit close to home: her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 13 years ago, while living in Arizona.

"We were crushed, the cancer caught us off guard - we were in denial. It was so scary," Rayo said.
